So recently I unboxed my September Birchbox and I was left a little sad with the outcome. It’s not that the stuff in it wasn’t great. It had a hair protein mask in a very large sample size, and Anastasia Beverly Hills brow pencil, a caffeinated eye cream, and a concealer stick.
Now that doesn’t sound too bad at this point, but I was missing my 5th sample, a perfume. Perfume samples are not really my cup of tea, but if I pay for one and expect it in my box, I would like to receive it. So I made my September Birchbox Unboxing for 2015 and made a sad face in my feeling journal. 😛
The cool part of the story starts now. I contacted Birchbox customer support and they were Seriously soo sooo soooooo nice! They felt terrible that that happened and immediately offered to send me a replacement or credit me some Birchbox points that can be used to buy stuff in the Birchbox store. I chose the points and they deposited 50 points (worth $5 in their store) into my account a few minutes later. Seeing as though that is half the value of the box, I’d say that was a great deal.
I will most definitely continue with my subscription to Birchbox because of the awesome customer service and also the great points system!
